Cost of Surgery

The Adventist HealthCare Surgery Center at National Harbor works with a variety of insurance providers to accommodate our patients’ needs.

After your surgery has been scheduled, a member of our billing office will contact your insurance carrier for verification of insurance. After determining the extent of your coverage, you will be notified of any financial responsibilities including self-pay, coinsurance and deductibles, if applicable.

The Surgery Center accepts Visa, AMEX, MasterCard, cash, cashier’s checks, or money orders. Payment arrangements should be made prior to your surgery. Payments can also be paid via our patient portal. Failure to resolve payment issues before the date of surgery could possibly result in the postponement of your surgery.

For your procedure, you will receive three bills, one from the facility, another from the surgeon, and one from the anesthesiologist. All are participating providers with Medicare and accept Medicare’s allowance. In addition to Medicare, we accept almost all insurance plans.

You have the right to request information regarding fees or payment policies. If you have any questions or comments concerning your bill, please contact our billing office at 240-252-6800.
